32 Participants of the Regional Trainer’s Multiplier Program on Contact Tracing Level II successfully received their certificate of training through an online Graduation Ceremony today.

The graduates came from different provinces across the BARMM Region. The competencies that the trainers successfully achieved are the following:

1. Conduct case investigation and contact identification.

2. Conduct profiling and contacts and follow-up.

3. conduct referral to health facility/Quarantine/ other relevant agencies.

4. conduct health education programs.

5. perform data recording and reporting.

6. Conduct monitoring and surveillance.

These six competencies are the pillars of being an effective contact tracer.

“This is a milestone for TESDA since it has also become vigilant in this time. It became the support of the health sector through conduct of capability building such as this that could help the community during this pandemic.” lead validator, Dr. Joel dela Merced stated during his message to the graduates.

“In the BARMM there is not yet any TVIs with Registered Training Program on Contact Tracing Level II however, there is already one application in Lanao del Sur.

We are hoping for more applications from TVIs in our Region after this training of trainers.” said MBHTE TESD Director General Ruby Andong. The training of trainer’s for contact tracing aims to produce competent and world class human resources for contact tracing.
