MBHTE-TESD conducts 3-day Operational Planning Workshop
The Technical Education and Skills Development (TESD) subsector of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) is now on the last day of their Operational Planning Workshop that is happening at Golden Lace Resto.
The 3-day activity aimed to determine the goals and identify the direction of TESD in 2021. It also aimed to monitor, rate and evaluate performance and strengthen the role of TESD in the region.
“The Bangsamoro Government’s policy is to provide relevant, accessible, high quality, and efficient technical education and skills development to produce a high-quality middle-level workforce in the Bangsamoro,” said MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal in his speech delivered by Deputy Minister Haron Meling.
At the moment, the MBHTE is working steadily to set the foundation that would expedite creating a “complete and integrated system of quality education” as mandated in RA 11054, and prepare every Bangsamoro learner to become active and productive members of society and participate in a globally competitive workforce.
He added that “by strengthening vocational, technical, non-formal, and special education in the Bangsamoro, we will ensure that vocational students will reach the higherst competency level in the chosen technical expertise.”
“Your involvement in this workshop is critical. I expect that by the end of this planning session, the participants have identified strategies, programs, and activities that would create higher esteem for vocational curriculum and promote professional training as a viable option for potential learners,” said Iqbal.
