MBHTE-TESD Joins BARMM 2nd Founding Anniversary
MBHTE-TESD joined the “Moral Governance: Building Strong Foundation for A Better Tomorrow ” campaign/theme to commemorate the 2nd Foundation Anniversary Celebration of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on January 18 at the MBHTE-TESD Regional Office Compound, Barangay Rebuken, Municipality of Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato City.
Aligned with the BARMM 2nd foundation anniversary, the MBHTE-TESD RMDC set up a booth at the Bangsamoro Government Complex fronting SKCC and provided a pre-registration services to the interested applicants who wish to avail the different courses and qualifications offered at the Regional Manpower Development Center (RMDC). On the right side of the booth is the mobile-wing van showcasing the impressive solar-panel finish products and materials outputs. For those who wishes to check the calendar of their trainings we would highly recommend to visit the MBHTE-TESD website’s home page.
Impressive finished products of the handicraft specialization are also being showcased on the other booth during the Bangsamoro founding anniversary together with the TVI Administrators and trainers offering the qualifications/course. The precision and quality of the ethnic bags, hats, their intricate designs and styles which are made from common organic materials like rattan and bamboo are woven by skilled hands and proper tools which showcases the richness of our ethnic culture . Handweaving is a very distinct art form and is quite a niche nowadays, but surely most of the people are going back to things with character and objects that has deep root with ancestral cultures or what we might say โcharacter and objects with a soulโ. Now woven bags have made their way in again as a mainstream trend.
This year, meetings, round tables and exhibitions are held via face-to-face or virtually while practicing precautionary measures hence the pandemic to provide better services to our constituents here in BARMM and other areas which are aligned to the missions and vision of the MBHTE (Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education) and TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority).
As Minister of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, Minister Mohagher Iqbals message for the National Peace Consciousness month he quotes “Peace work keeps us on our feet. It keeps us stay focused on the noble purpose of giving our next generation a more secure and hopeful future”. He also suggests the BARMM constituents and community to promote in doing the right things thru moral governance amidst the challenges we are facing now.
In line with TESDA, as the lead agency of the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) under executive Order No. 70, the MBHTE-TESD continues to provide services to its constituents as we the MBHTE-TESD operates to develop in upskilling youths and adults to increase the chance of its people on the employability and productivity amidst pandemic times. Technical Education in BARMM plays big responsibility and role in changing the dynamics patterns of inequalities.
Creating a path for socio-economic reproduction and social-economic mobility thru technical skills will be a goal that we will continuously put efforts on.
