The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) turned over Friday, July 9, 2021, to BARMMโ€™s Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) the Cotabato City District Office and Provincial Training Center.

Said turnover, conducted virtually, was one of the steps in achieving a complete and integrated system of quality education as stipulated in the provisions of Republic Act 11054 or Bangsamoro Organic Law.

Properties, equipment and other important documents such as the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS) and Philippine TVET Competency Assessment and Certification System (PTCACS) were accepted by the MBHTE-TESD.

โ€œWith this acceptance goes my assurance that every effort shall be exerted to the fruitful utilization of each and every single property and equipment. This is our commitment to the Bangsamoro people and our mandate to advance the human capital development through education and service,โ€ said Minister Mohagher Iqbal.

He added that the true worth of the event is in the effective utilization of what has been turned over and โ€œit is, therefore, our inescapable duty at the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education to see to it that this purpose is fulfilled.โ€

TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeรฑa assured his commitment to provide services under its mandate to assist the Bangsamoro Government in its pursuit for a higher degree of autonomy to attain its shared goal in promoting peace, sustainable development and economic growth in Mindanao.
