The MBHTE-TESD Lanao del Sur Provincial Office and Provincial Warden’s Office had a coordination meeting regarding the Skills Training that will be given for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) inside the Provincial Jail as requested by the Provincial Government headed by Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Adiong, Jr. and VG Mujam Adiong and the Board Members.
PDL and their families are members of the vulnerable sector that will be given special attention to ensure that they will be reintegrated back as productive members of the society after serving sentences through provision of Livelihood Skills Training Course.
In a separate occasion regarding PDL the Minister of MBHTE, MP Mohagher Iqbal said “deprivation of liberty does not mean deprivation of the right to education. The PDL, especially the youth in confinement, are among the most vulnerable groups in our society.” Source: MBHTE
The Provincial Office of Lanao del Sur is working together with government agencies and organizations in order to show 100% support to the initiatives of MBHTE in attaining peace and development through TVET.\
